helping sick or injured shelter animals.

Here are some of their stories:

Dale Evens, Roy Rogers, and Gene Autry were found in the county. The 4th puppy had been hit by a car and didn't survive. Chloe's Fund is sending them to the vet.

Benz had a blockage in his gastrointestinal tract and needed emergency medical help.

Chloe's Fund was able to send Gargamel to the ER for medical help.

Rebel was having heart problems and needed emergency treatment. 

Telluride was very sick and needed emergency care. 

Sparky was suffering with diabetic ketoacidosis. This is a life-threatening condition that requires immediate medical treatment.

Marble needed urgent medical care. Thanks to your donations, we were able to help her.

JoJo and Rex are two of the 10 dachshunds that Chloe's Fund is helping. Their elderly owner was no longer able to care for them.

Ripley was found with a badly damaged eye from a possible attack. He is on antibiotics for now, but will need surgery in a few days.

Rose and Ray were relinquished to the animal shelter when their mom wasn't able to produce enough milk to feed all her puppies. Sadly some of their siblings had already passed away, but we were able to save these cuties.

Romeo has a very serious wound. We don't know how it happened, but he needs our help!

Little Dolly was so sick and suffering from a possible poisoning. She is now recovering in a foster home.

Miracle is not eating and has a distended stomach. The doctors will do what they can to help her get back to being an active kitty.

Strawberry was very lethargic and not eating.

Agatha's abdomen is in a lot of pain and has some discharge. She needs our help.

*UPDATE*
Hunter was suffering from megaesophagus, tumors, nausea, and severe emaciation. He received surgery and gained a few needed lbs. He is now in a loving new FURever home.

Bobo has an abscess above his tail that needs medical attention.

Poor Rayne as been mistreated and clearly needs medical help.

Four month old Essence tested positive for parvo. If she survives, she has an adopter waiting.

Duckie needed her leg amputated, but that didn't stop her from strutting her stuff. Here she is winning first place at Southwire Florence’s first National Dog Day Pageant.

Duckie was found with a chest laceration and a foot cut off! 

This poor boy got hit by a car. He is being treated for a broken leg and other cuts and scrapes.

Sugar Bear was hit by a car while searching for a safe place to have her babies.

*UPDATE*
After nine month of treatments, medications, love and attention in a foster home, this is Russell! He leaves tonight on a rescue transport to find his FURever home through Brown Dog Coalition. Russell is a true CF success story!!

Russell was terribly malnourished, anemic, had demodex mange, his feet were badly infected, and his dew claws were growing into his paw pads.

These pups were found covered in fleas, emaciated, and dehydrated. One pup was already deceased, but we were able to help Mario and Princess Peach by getting them to the ER.

*UPDATE*
Jasmine (now Pip), turned out, to have rickets. With proper nutrition, vitamins, and care, she was made vast improvements. She's having fun running and playing like a normal puppy.

Poor little Jasmine was very neglected. She might have rickets, but it could be a deformity that may require surgery or braces.
Diagnosis pending.

Marcia survived panleukopenia because we were able to get her to the ER vet right away.

Poor Cinnamon was in bad condition after being attacked.

Ruthie needed medical help. She was not eating and vomiting.

L.A. Knight is a 3mo old Cane Corso brought into the ER vet with parvovirus. His family couldn't pay for treatment and was going to have him euthanized. Chloe's Fund is helping him get the medical attention he needs.
We are hoping for the best.

Millie Moo was lethargic and vomiting. She needed immediate medical assistance.

Sara was found with a badly broken leg and needed an amputation. She's doing much better now! Thank you for your support!!

Roxy needed an emergency c-section. She had 11 puppies total! Unfortunately, they had herpes virus and 5 didn't survive. Mom and remaining babies continue to receive care.

We just paid a gigantic vet bill that included assessments from the 82 dogs confiscated in an animal cruelty case.

Lucy got her foot caught in a trap. Her family chose to euthanize her when they heard she needed her leg amputated. Chloe's Fund was able to save her!

Sweet Pea was kicked by a horse and left with a mangled leg. She had more than one break, but Dr. Bingham believes this baby will heal.

Two of the four parvo pups that Anita and Debby fostered loading up on rescue transport. Fur-ever families here they come!

Chloe’s Fund baby “Flower” was found with a very bad neck wound that required urgent veterinary care. She’s just so little, but doing great now thanks to our wonderful Chloe’s Fund supporters and donors.

Loo had a badly broken leg that had to be amputated and a fractured pelvis. His recovery is going amazingly well and will leave for rescue very soon.

Tyler needed specialized surgery on his leg. It was a costly bill, but worth every penny!

Max and Jedi the day they were rescued and then after getting treatment for a terrible case of starvation. They were tied up on short ropes outside with no shelter.

Roscoe came to us with a broken leg. Thanks to your donations, Chloe's Fund  paid for his medical care. His leg was able to be saved without an amputation!

Diego tested positive for parvo. There is no cure for parvovirus, but chances of survival are greatly improved with immediate aggressive veterinary intervention. The only way to prevent parvo, is with vaccinations.

Treat was in quite a state with an upper respiratory and bad eye infection. He needed urgent care.

Sybil was so skinny and emaciated. When she fully recovers, she will go to Brown Dog Coalition to find a fur-ever home.

We helped this stray mom cat and her two kittens. They are all feeling much better and headed to their new home.

Poor Linzy had a degloved jaw. This is a severe injury where the skin and tissue are torn away from the jawbone. It requires immediate veterinary care which can include surgery, antibiotics, and pain management.

Baby Stanley wouldn't latch onto his Mommy. He needed to be syringe fed.

Poor Coco had a terrible time trying to deliver her puppies. She needed an emergency C-Section. They were able to save her and one of her babies.

Ellie and Jack are two of the 10 dachshunds that Chloe's Fund is helping.

Franklin (black puppy) has partly necrotic flesh in a very sensitive area. He needs a pretty complicated surgery to creative a new place to urinate. 

Pugsley is one of four puppies that are sick and in need of immediate medical attention.

*UPDATE*
Faith and Hope were found loaded with parasites and covered in mange. They are doing so much better and are ready to be placed in a foster home. 

Comet is not doing well, but the doctors are trying their best.

Capone is a 10 yr old gentleman who is losing weight. He probably hasn't been getting the medication he needs for his diabetes. 

Six month old Roscoe has a broken leg. He might avoid amputation by wearing a cast for several weeks.

Blackberry was found with his sibling, Strawberry. Both were lethargic and not eating.

Charlie was found abandoned in a box with a badly damaged tail.

Bizzi's tail was damaged so bad it was about to fall off! She needed emergency surgery to remove it.

Papa Kitty was in a cat fight and needed medical assistance.

Sweet old Chubbs was taken to the ER vet for having difficulty breathing.

Poor Hunter needed emergency surgery for bloat. He isn't out of the woods yet, but hopefully surgery works.

Mary spent the weekend at the ER Vet in terrible condition. Her blood sugar and body temp kept bottoming out. We can't save them all, but that won't stop us from trying. 

Dexter was attacked by another dog and needed medical treatment.

Starfire had a chain embedded in her mouth. She deserves better than that.

Blood was found in Kiki's urine. Could be a bad UTI. She will need medication.

Back in 2022, Tilly was found wondering alone, skinny, clearly had many litters in her life, and heartworm positive. Chloe's Fund was able to help her and she was adopted into a wonderful home.

Here is Tilly today, happy and healthy in her Fur-ever home!

Poor Birdie was terribly neglected, but Chloe's Fund was able to help with her medical bills.

Grayson wasn't eating and was admitted to the ER. He is feeling so much better now :)

This sweet girl and her three puppies needed transfusions from hookworm anemia. One pup didn't make it, but we saved Mama plus two littles!

Little Mochi had a cancerous tumor. Thank you Chloe's Fund for Medical Needs of Florence Shelter Animals for helping this sweet kitty!!

Grits is a parvo survivor.
Canine parvovirus is a highly contagious disease that attacks white blood cells and the gastrointestinal tract. Any unvaccinated dog can get parvo, but puppies between 6-20 wks old are the most at risk.

Harlow is very tiny and likely pushed away from mama by bigger siblings. The shelter staff warmed and bottle fed him, but he remained weak with low body temperature. He is now in emergency medical care.

Grace was brought to the ER vet after being found at McFarland Park. Then three more were discovered! They all need transfusions. All very anemic. Not parvo, but VERY SICK.

This is Clover after being hit by a car. Another puppy that was also hit by the same car was sadly killed.

Canine parvovirus is a highly contagious viral disease that causes acute gastrointestinal illness mainly in puppies.

Red was attacked by several dogs. He needed plasma at the ER vet last night and will stay the weekend. This will be a big bill, but this is our mission!

This sweet orange tabby was shot! Chloe's Fund paid for his medical care. He is now living out is final eight lives in a loving home :)

Rocky survived parvovirus because Chloe's Fund was able to rush him to the ER vet. Without the funds to pay his bill, he would have never made it.

Cocoa (now Lucy) is a CF baby and parvo survivor. She was also the ring bearer in her mom and dad's wedding!

Willie spent several nights at the vet. He was very sick and covered in demodectic mange. After many medicated baths and strong meds, he recovered and was adopted by a wonderful family!

Teddy is on the mend from parvovirus and in foster care.

Savannah was shot and received the care that she may not have gotten because of Chloe's Fund.
Savannah is one of the reasons why CF constantly does fundraisers. These kinds of cases just keep coming.

Culver and his siblings were hit by a car on the side of the road. He survived, but had to have his leg amputated. He fully recovered and was adopted.

Little Man had a bad upper respiratory infection. He is feeling much feistier now!

Saturday was found on the edge of death. She was taken to the ER for immediate assistance.

Marti has a badly damaged leg and will need it removed. Cats with three legs are active and resilient, adapting well after an amputation surgery.

Seniorita desperately needed help during her very difficult labor. 

Rich is another puppy infected with the dreaded parvovirus. 

Priscilla had a terrible cough. Chloe's Fund helped pay for her veterinary care as part of a shelter diversion program.

Bodie is an eight wk old puppy that was kicked by his owner. He has broken bones and a fractured back. He needs scans done at MS State. Please help us pay for his treatment.

Jewel is the dog found horribly matted with wounds and eye ulcers. Look how much better she is doing! Thank you to all that donated to her medical care!

Jewel is a young dog that has been terribly neglected. Her fur is so overgrown that she has corneal ulcers from mats rubbing her eyes. When they shaved her, they found maggot infested wounds all over her little body. They will do everything they can for her, but she is in life threatening shape.

This mama and her two puppies were found wandering around in terrible shape. The babies were so sick and just loaded with parasites. Chloe's Fund sent them to the vet for treatment. 

Tiny kitties are just so fragile. This little orphan floofer went to the ER vet for help.

Shannon is an 8 week old baby with an injured leg.

Pillsbury needed medication for her upper respiratory infection. She is now recovering in her foster home.

Butterball needs urgent help to fix his prolapse. This is when the last part of the large intestine slips out of its normal position and protrudes through the anus.

Little Patton is a four month old kitten with a badly swollen leg.

Sally is just 12 wks old. She tested positive for Parvovirus and will need medical treatment ASAP.

Sally made it through initial treatment and will finished recovering in a foster home.

Cutie little Antonio has a prolapsed rectum and needs emergency help.

William is vomiting and has diarrhea. Possibly panleukopenia.

One of five pug puppies that were lethargic, anemic, and had hookworms.

Bella P is a long haired dachshund between 13-15 yrs old. She was found abandoned alone in the heat. She was barely breathing and very dehydrated. 

Little Fern was found at a gas station covered in fleas and not doing well outside on a very hot summer day.

Phee is doing much better! Her nurse, Weasley the cat, is doing a Meow-rvelous job :)

Phee was found abandoned in the road. She needed immediate medical support.

Mik had a kitty accident and broke his elbow. He is not happy about the cast, but should heal and be back to climbing in no time.

Rain was having seizures so we sent her to see a neurologist in Huntsville. She had a CT scan, spinal tap, and blood work. After many tests and medications a hard decision was made. We tried our very best to give this little girl a chance.

This tiny little senior dachshund is Miss Johnson. She was seized with others in an animal cruelty case. Her jaw had been broken, but never treated so the bone deteriorated away.

Elvis was found on Natchez Trace with a deformed leg. He was treated and is now adopted!

These two cuties were brought into the shelter with scrotal hernias. They will most likely will need surgery to repair the problem.

Sweetpea was treated for breathing problems and released. Doing better thanks to Chloe's Fund donations.

Precious was found by some very kind ladies near railroad tracks. They didn't think she'd make it Thursday night, but she's a fighter! She went to ER vet last night for fluids and monitoring, very anemic, and may need a blood transfusion. 

Hardy needs FHO surgery to fix an old pelvic fracture and a broken hip. This will be a costly procedure, but he will never walk correctly without it :(

Buddy was found to have a cancerous tumor in his mouth. He is now in hospice foster care.

Chellie had two broken jaw bones, she was covered in scabs, and had a exposed bone in the roof of her mouth. She made a full recovery after surgery and was adopted to a family that adores her.

Lagertha was rushed into emergency surgery. She was hemorrhaging from a Stump Pyometra. This is an infection from her spay and is life threatening.

*UPDATE*
Grace spent a month at Dr Bingham's!! She is doing so much better now, but we need help paying her very large bill.

This little guy was having trouble breathing.
Turns out he had a bad case of kennel cough. Medications and TLC should help him feel better soon!

Little Ben's wound was terribly infected.
He was also lethargic, and VERY thin. Chloe's Fund sent him to the ER vet.
